ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Lindsay
As a Business Coach I’ve gained insight into the importance of being true to ourselves not just in work but in all areas of life. As a technology consultant I’ve developed skills around attention to detail, an action focussed approach, accountability and achieving outcomes.
The combination of these qualities means my coaching style is insightful and outcome-focused; making me a great fit for professionals who are intentionally seeking a change in their professional lives and recognise that they want and deserve something more from their work.
“My goal is to work with individuals who are intentional about making a change in their professional lives and who recognise that they want and deserve more from their work. ”
My Story
Throughout my career I have worked in technology. I have held various positions, starting as a business analyst, then progressing to project manager, and ultimately becoming a consultant. My experience includes working for a global consumer goods company, Unilever, as well as two global consultancies - KPMG and Accenture. I have worked on system implementations, such as SAP and MS Dynamics, and have also provided advice to clients on their IT strategy, as well as guidance and assurance on IT programmes.
A few years ago, I realised that I was no longer getting the same joy from my work and didn't know why. I sought the help of an amazing life coach who guided me in uncovering the underlying issue: I had been living by others' values and standards for so long that I either felt inadequate or lacked motivation since it didn't align with my own priorities. As a result, I wasn't the best version of myself and felt disconnected from my career.
Eventually, I made the decision to retrain business coach. Two quotes from my coaching sessions resonated with me deeply and influenced my decision to make this career change: "We have the power to choose how we feel" and "We're all just walking each other home." I loved the idea of being intentional about our lives and supporting one another in doing so.
I've learned that understanding ourselves fully is key to unlocking our potential and leveraging our strengths to guide the parts of ourselves that may feel lacking. So I founded my coaching company, With Intent. Choosing a name was not easy, but With Intent felt right.
Alongside With Intent, I continue to do technology consulting work. Balancing consulting with coaching has enabled me to feel more aligned to my values and I enjoy the variety that the two roles give me.
MY MISSION
“To help people fulfil their potential in work and live lives that are designed with intent”
My experience in the corporate world has equipped me with valuable skills and strengths that are now an intrinsic part of who I am. I thrive on detail, action, accountability, and outcomes, and I combine these qualities with my coaching skills to deliver insightful and outcome-focused coaching sessions.
I provide a free 20-minute consultation to explore how coaching can benefit you. This is a great opportunity to assess whether we can collaborate effectively and to determine if I am the right coach for you.
“Going through coaching can be challenging. It can also be great fun. It's important to choose a coach that suits your style.”
MY VALUES
-
IMPACT
My motivation comes from wanting to create a tangible impact or facilitating change for you. Our discussions won't just be superficial; instead, we will delve deeply to gain a genuine understanding of your situation and determine the necessary steps to bring about real change.
-
COLLABORATION
A coaching relationship must be collaborative to be effective. It's not about me dictating what to do, or me doing all the talking. Rather, we work together to define your goals and engage in activities that help you achieve them.
-
COMPASSION
Although many people claim this as their key value, I cannot help but include it as it is an integral part of who I am. I understand that life is not always straightforward, and I genuinely care about my clients. Whether it's demonstrating compassion during our coaching sessions or discussing ways for you to show self-compassion, this value is a fundamental part of my coaching approach.
-
ACCEPTANCE
It is crucial for coaching to be successful that there is no sense of judgment. As someone who values being free from judgment, I extend the same value to my coaching sessions by creating a non-judgmental space where clients can feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and experiences.
